Job Description:

*Manager of Respiratory Care**Responsibilities. *Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Care, the manager* Plans, administers, directs and coordinates the activities of the Respiratory Care Department.* Manages the daily clinical and operational activities of the Respiratory Care staff, including scheduling, shift coverage, work assignments, and payroll preparation.* Assesses, develops, and administers the education and competency programs for the Respiratory Care Department.* Provides respiratory care education for other hospital departments.* Assists in the measurement of clinical and other performance-related outcomes.* Supports the department's quality and safety initiatives and regulatory readiness activities.*Qualifications.** Five years of experience providing direct cardiopulmonary care in a hospital or healthcare setting.* Two years of experience supervising respiratory care staff.* Sleep study experience preferred.* Licensed by the NYS Department of Education as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (or license-eligible).* Must maintain current license.* BLS certification required.* PALS certification required.* NBRC registration required.*Education.** Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field required.*Shift.** *Mid-shift*, covering part of the day and evening shiftsJob Type: Full-timePay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 10 hour shiftExperience:* direct cardiopulmonary care: 5 years (Required)* supervisory: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* New York license as respiratory care practitioner (Required)* registration from the NBRC as a respiratory therapist (Required)Work Location: In person
